The Edge of Darkness trailer promises
everything; the Edge of Darkness
movie is a drop in the bucket. The storyline is good and the concept is great;
but poor acting and poor casting choices (i.e., Ronald Craven, the revengeful Dad,
played by Mel Gibson), ruin this movie. Mel Gibson is an action star, maybe a
drama star; but Mel Gibson does not play the revengeful Dad character well.
This movie is not an edge-of-your-seat-kind-of-movie. It is a drama with a
little action here and there with some suspense. Mel Gibson seems to hold back
in this movie.
Storyline
Detective
Thomas Craven’s (Mel Gibson) daughter, Emma Craven (Bojana Novakovic), is
murdered. He investigates and becomes involved in a dangerous game with Northmoor,
a research facility developing nuclear weaponry.

Buy a ticket? Yes? No? Maybe?
No. Director Martin Campbell did not pull the quality acting from
his cast that was required to move this movie into the winning arena.
