MARLEY & ME (Theatrical Release USA 2008)

Ben Meyers’ rating: 3.6|5.0 Starsììì

Marley and Me,
such simple subject matter that, somehow, in its casting, script, and family atmosphere makes it into a family movie to remember. Every nostalgic scene recalls childhood, pets, and family—the good and bad times that make family memories complete. Director David Frankel caught the essence of life and left the audience with an unmistakable life message less the usual preaching effect that comes with message movies. The bittersweet conclusion tops the movie with just the right dash of flavor.
