THE WARLORDS (2007 CHINA)

Ben Meyers’ rating: 1.4|5.0 Starsì

The Warlords begins at the level of a two star movie. By the end of the first twenty minutes, it drops to a one star movie. The Warlords is boring as ‘heck’ with a storyline that runs into the mud. In other hands, the concept could have been very good; but under Peter Chan’s direction this movie just dragged on and on and ON. Rather than being a GREAT Chinese movie, it ended being just another ‘ho-hum’ Chinese movie.

Storyline

After defeat, General Pang Qingyun (Jet Li) flees to outlying villages and attempts to organize the villagers into small bands of warrior-raiders.

Buy a ticket? Yes? No? Maybe?

No. It fails to capture interest. Choose IP Man instead.
