JACK THE GIANT SLAYER (Theatrical Release USA 2013)

Ben Meyers’ rating: 3.9|5.0 Stars ììì

Jack the Giant Slayer
starts slow, but don’t walk out. It’s a great retake on the old “Jack and the Beanstalk” fairy tale. After the Giants find the bag of beans, the story is a smash hit from that point forward.

Storyline

Young Jack (Michael Self) asks his father (Tim Foley) to read him a story before he goes to bed. As his father starts to read a story about legendary giants, the camera flashes to a queen (Tandi Wright) who reads the same story to her daughter, Princess Isabelle (Sydney Rawson). The camera flashes back and forth from Jack’s father’s reading to the Queen’s reading. When the reading is done, Jack imagines that the story is true and the movie is off and running.
