CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON (New York Film Festival, New York City, New York USA 2000)

Ben Meyers’ rating: 4.0|5.0 Stars ìììì

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon—a highly sculpted, cultural filmeasily earns its four-star rating. A not-to-be-missed film, it’s easily one of the best Asian films made to date. It completely captivated the American market, dominated box office sales, and won four academy awards. The story takes us through the angst of unfulfilled love, the passion of fulfilled love, the bitterness of ill-used power, and betrayal of lifelong friendsall against outstanding Asian scenery.

A legendary sword weaves its way into a many threaded story to re-connect events of the past, present, and future.
