LAWRENCE OF ARABIA (Theatrical Release Los Angeles, California USA 1962)

Ben Meyers’ rating: 4.6|5.0 Stars ìììì

Lawrence of Arabia—
a British classic released in the United States—made it to Ben Meyers’ Favorite Films list. The script centers around the brilliant military maneuvers of T.E. Lawrence (acted by Peter O’Toole) during WWI on the Arabian Peninsula. Excellent portrayal of two different cultures colliding, learning to cooperate and respect each others’ abilities, and finally to magnificently succeed in overcoming a common enemy while earning freedom for an entire, new nation in the process. Based on the notes of T.E. Lawrence, the film becomes an absorbing watch for its entire 227 minutes.
