A DOG'S JOURNEY (Theatrical Release USA 2019)

Ben Meyers’ rating: 4.4|5.0 Starsìììì

A Dog's Journey
—sequel to A Dog's Purpose—explores the idea of dogs reincarnating. After several reincarnations, an audience may get ‘fed up’ with the reincarnations and desperately want this movie to end. The movie’s repetitive storyline takes away its entertainment value.

Storyline

A dog finds meaning in his existence through multiple reincarnations.

Additional Thanks

Thank you to Director Gail Mancuso for directing effort. Thank you to Executive Producers Luyuan Fan, Lasse Hallström, Seth William Meier, and Wei Zhang for making the film possible. Additional characters/cast include: Bailey (voice of Josh Gad), Ethan (Dennis Quaid), CJ (Kathryn Prescott), Hannah (Marg Helgenberger), Gloria (Betty Gilpin), Trent (Henry Lau), Young CJ (Abby Ryder Fortson), Young Trent (Ian Chen), Toddler CJ (Emma Volk), Henry (Johnny Galecki), and Shane (Jake Manley).

Buy a ticket? Yes? No? Maybe?

Yes. Despite the repetitive reincarnations, the movie is worth watching. Great work for Director Gail Mancuso for directing a film sequel that is almost as good as it prequel.
