47 METERS DOWN (Theatrical/Television/Internet Release USA 2017)

Ben Meyers’ rating: 3.9|5.0 Starsììì

47 Meters Down—tension makes this movie work—reminds us of the Jaws series because it involves its audience with the lives of young people in peril. This shark danger movie heavily dramatizes the scenes to nearly rival Jaws movies. Acting talent includes some very good work by Claire Holt and Mandy Moore.

Storyline

Two sisters view sharks from the safety of an underwater cage. The chain that secures the cage to the boat detaches and the cage drops without its link to its boat.

Buy a ticket? Yes? No? Maybe?

Yes. This popcorn flick has enough ‘scary’ to work as good entertainment.
