REIGN OF FIRE (Theatrical release USA 2002)

Ben Meyers’ rating: 3.7|5.0 Starsììì

Reign of Fire
allows access to earlier acting efforts of Christian Bale, Gerard Butler, and Matthew McConaughey. The animated dragons are fairly well done for 2002 and are balanced with fairly authentic scenery that relates to an apocalyptic world. The film lacks that certain essentialness that moves a film out of the average category into the great watch category.

Maybe. A better apocalyptic film is San Andreas.
