RESCUE DAWN (Theatrical Release USA 2007)

 Ben Meyers’ rating: 4.3|5.0 Starsìììì

Rescue Dawn—based on a true story—shows and elaborates the grim sequence of events that led to the capture and imprisonment of Dieter Dengler, a United States Navy Fighter pilot, during the VietnamWar. The movie itself starts well, gets a little slow during the concentration camp scenes, but gets on track after an escape. Director Werner Herzog once again delivers a meaningful film that makes a point. Good work for all involved.
