Regarding Henry—sophisticated writing by J.J. Abrams—investigates the marriage of a professional couple whose life is disrupted and has to be rebuilt from its foundation. Harrison
Ford and Annette Bening catch even the slight nuances of the story with extreme skill. Poignant and well done entertainment for the adult audience.

Raiders of the Lost Ark has
mesmerizedaudiences, as of this 2018
writing, for 37 years and continues to be the definition of action/adventure
films based on its unique storyline, well-written script, perfectly timed
sequencing, exotic stage settings, casting choices, ‘fresh’ action scenes, and
satisfying breaks of unforgettable comedy. Kudos to Director Steven Spielberg
and Producer George Lucas for creation of an entirely satisfying saga.

Indiana Jones and the Temple of
Doom falls into that elite ‘multiple-rewatch-is-absolutely-gonna-happen’
classification that only a few films achieve. The movie captivates its audience
with superlative background sets, terrific actors, outstanding script, tense
action sequences laced with comedic episodes to break tension, and balances
everything with that unique aura that dominates the Indiana Jones series. Watch
for the cameo appearance of Dan Aykroyd.

Yes.
The film works as a classic study in non-stop action placed in outrageously exotic
settings while being completely entertaining.
The Mosquito Coast, after viewing, seems a ridiculous story. But it
has impact and the mind, as it continues to unravel the story, concludes that
this movie’s story will not allow the audience to forget it any time soon. It
is novel and requires involvement to follow the storyline. It is almost rewatchable.
Watch for a terrific cast that includes Harrison Ford, Helen Mirren, River
Phoenix, and Jadrien Steele.

Buy a ticket? Yes? No? Maybe?
Maybe. The storyline is worth watching. It’s an
unusual film but has a unique impact and will not soon be forgotten as it moves
through its interpretation of a specific personality type.
The Call of the Wild—better than the 1972 Charlton Heston
interpretation—uses animated animals as did Peter Jackson in The Lord of the
Rings. Especially notethe animal, Buck, for exceptionally life-like
animation except he seems more human-like and above the intelligence level of
real dogs. This also seems to have affected the acting relationship between the
dog and Harrison Ford at certain junctions in the movie. This is not
considerably noticeable so that the story becomes affected. This is a good
watch and quite entertaining.

Yes. This movie bases itself on the classic novel

this story.
Joan Didion: The Center Will
Not Hold plays for an adult audience as it examines the life of Joan
Didion. The documentary introduces and establishes interviews with superb
technique. The camera work is some of the best in the business. The viewer can
walk away from the film with appreciation for Didion’s ability to make sense
from cultural diversity, see beyond the normal scope of viewing, and be true to
her life's purpose as she sees it.

concentrates so much on the problem of segregation that it loses some of the
power of the Jackie Robinson story. On
the other hand, it more finely highlights the terrific, raw courage it takes to
break new ground within a culture determined to stand its ground against
plowing. It also shows why Jackie
Robinson and his family were such terrific choices to break barriers. It’s
great to see Harrison Ford in something more subtle than many of his previous
works as he takes on the character of Branch Rickey, baseball executive. All in
all, the film is a very good sports film that delivers at its own level.

Jackie
Robinson (Chadwick Boseman) is a hard hitting, hardworking, all-heart baseball
player. Branch Rickey (Harrison Ford) recognizes and needs that talent. He relies
on Jackie Robinson’s personal strength to take the abuse and still deliver as
he breaks the all-white barrier at national level. Robinson goes from the
Kansas City Monarchs to the Montreal Royals and then to the Brooklyn Dodgers.
He becomes known as the first African American to play baseball for the Major Leagues.
