Editorial

The French Lumiere Brothers highly influenced India's initial foray into film production so that India had its own silent, black and white era that soon moved into 'talkies'. Theatres were built and this new industry quickly began generating significant revenue for the Indian government.

The maturation of film followed that of other countries to the current time where Indians are choosing Netflix, Amazon and other venues that can be watched from the home as streaming entertainment.
