Welcome to Ben Meyers International Entertainment Magazine Eighth Volume with a focus on Italy's Entertainment Industry.
The French Lumiere Brothers partnered in 1896 with Italian Vittorio Calcina to launch their motion picture machine in Italy. The Italian industry followed the basic pattern of other countries from the silent era to the sound era as it worked through the cycles of firmly establishing this technology.
Italy soon founded a film festival that rivaled the best of Europe and the United States.
