This is a sit down and watch film that relies on simple southwestern scenery. I’M FROM ARKANSAS (Theatrical Release USA 1944)

I’m From Arkansas—small story with no flesh, only skeleton—supports itself on some great music and short entertainment routines. No surprises. Clean dialogue with a gentle presentation belonging to a previous era in entertainment.

Storyline 

This musical black and white film is about a sow, her huge litters of piglets, a corporation’s interests, a small country community, dance hall girls, and a small western singing group.

Maybe. Know there is not much going on here except great singing and music. It is as if the producers were almost promoting the singers and made a simple story around the musical groups to promote them in film.
