The Truman Show—an
inspiring display of originality and creativity—becomes one of Jim Carrey’s
better films. One of those ‘sit back and enjoy’ movies, due to its premium script,
earns its WOW! KUDOS! as good entertainment for the whole family. Outstanding
direction by Director Peter Weir. Watch for Laura Linney and Paul Giamatti in
this movie as well as the legendary Composer Philip Glass (who acts as the keyboard
artist).

Storyline
Adopted

Parkland,
arefreshing
93-minute exploration of the JFK assassination, approaches its subject matter
from a completely different perspective while skillfully interweaving actual
broadcast radio recordings and archival footage throughout the film’s approach
to its storyline. The film is based on the book “Four Days In November” written
by Vincent Bugliosi. It’s a worthy addition to films dedicated to this subject.
Watch for a superb performance by Zac Efron as Dr. Charles “Jim” Carrico.

John F. Kennedy assassination is re-examined through the eyes of ordinary
persons impacted by the event—medical personnel, FBI agents, and the Oswald
family.

The film is a 50th Anniversary memoriam to the JFK assassination
event. It’s a good watch.
Big Momma’s House—Martin Lawrence and Paul Giamatti—works comedy from
suggestive dialogue and scenes. It’s an entertaining watch for the teen/adult
audience. Watch for a good performance by Anthony Anderson.

Jungle Cruise reminds one of taking the Jungle Cruise ride in Disneyland California.
It has interestingly incorporated Spanish
explorers toward the middle of the movie and while it runs on formula
storytelling, the running dialogue patter between Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt
is easy to digest and has its own worth. It is what it is and could be a fair
choice for the child/adult share.

Maybe. The movie runs like movies from the 1940s
and 1950s. The jungle theme is an interesting stage setting choice for Dwayne Johnson as he interacts with Emily Blunt. The movie runs on a lighter touch to entertain.
Ratchet & Clank, an
animated feature that bases itself on the video game, wants so badly to be an
action animation movie. The meager storyline, however, does not justify a movie
and despite an all-star voice cast fails at every juncture. If one must see
Ratchet and Clank in action, it’s better to get the Play Station game than
watch the movie.

Storyline
The
Blargs are systematically destroying one planet after another which results in
a deployment of Galactic Rangers. Wannabe Ranger, Ratchet (voice of James Arnold Taylor), finds himself on the
reject list when he attempts to join the fight. Rejects have the day, however,
when Ratchet teams with Robot Clank (voice of David Kaye).
