It's believable, realistic and refreshingly deals with the aftermath of war, not the 'glory of war' prequel to the reality. The film has some adult content that borders on the unnecessary. But, besides that, works at a much higher level than Home of the Brave (2006). It is an ode to the importance of supportive, long-term marriages to aiding recovery and a return to stability after real-life exposure to warfare.  Ghost in the Shell—interesting—allows Scarlett Johannsson to strut her acting abilities to the big screen. The movie needs a larger explanation of her origins. The film has brief nudity that is being passed off as robotic nudity. This film has good special effects. Overall, this is a good watch.  Resident Evil: The Final Chapter—This movie is a great conclusion to the Resident Evil movie series and even though it says final chapter there is a type of cliff hanger at the end of the film that could provide for that later addition of another film. The acting, presentation, and portrayal are good. The storyline is great. Milla Jovovich reprises her role for this movie.  Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul is a suitable to okay film with its depiction of the next chapter in the Wimpy Kid movie series. The actors of the first through the third film did not reprise their roles for this film. It's a whole different ball game here. It just does not have the same feel and creativity of the previous movies. But the comedy is there despite the fact that at times, the new cast, instead of using their interpretations of the Wimpy Kid characters are deliberately working to live from the nostalgia of the last three films. The Lego Batman Movie—great animation—throws villains at the audience like raindrops falling from the sky once the Joker gets to the Phantom Zone. Scenes get messy and difficult to follow. Some villains are given prominence which helps and it is interesting to see which villains Warner Brothers sees as more significant than others. The movie is good, overall. It has a solid beginning and conclusion. The voice cast is well-chosen. The presentation and portrayal are good.

The Fate of the Furious—almost as good as Furious 7—is making this series a better series going forward with its great storyline and presentation. WOW! What a concept! This movie makes a terrific choice casting Charlize Theron as a ruthless terrorist. She plays that character very well. The movie creates tremendous anticipation for F9: The Fast Saga which is available to rent or buy on Amazon Prime as of the writing of this critique. Hopefully, the next film will live up to the last two films, both 7 and 8. Know there is a spinoff movie just for characters Luke Hobbs and Deckard Shaw played by Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham, titled Hobbs and Shaw.

Transformers: The Last Knight has the highest rating of any Transformers movie to this date on Ben Meyers International Movie Critics. WOW! This Transformers movie hit all the bells and whistles with terrific special effects, acting, and presentation. Mark Wahlberg is the perfect casting choice for this movie series. The story is more complicated, but not so complicated to become unintelligible.
