BOONIE BEARS: BLAST FROM THE PAST (Theatrical Release China 2019)

Ben Meyers’ rating: 3.7|5.0 Starsììì

Boonie Bears: Blast from the Past—sixth film in a seven-film series—works in the okay film range. The movie does make a good try for heart but the presentation holds the heart back so that it cannot fully blossom. The timing is off center as in the length of time it takes to reveal the female wolf cub’s story. The names of some of the characters are difficult to track until mentioned at least twice and some of them are not mentioned at all, which seems disconcerting.

Maybe. The movie serves as a cultural visit but for entertainment value, watch Nut Job.
