LOGAN (Theatrical Release USA 2017)

Logan appears to be the final film for Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart in the X-Men franchise. This movie contains a great deal of graphic violence, but not to the ‘close the eyes and turn the head away’ level. The acting and presentation are good. The roles assigned to both Jackman and Stewart seem better placed and more realistic than previous X-Men movies. This movie presents a new young actress to the series, Dafne Keen, who acts an exceptionally vicious role. It will be interesting to follow her career path. Very good creative artistry for everyone involved in producing this story. The movie deserves its watch.

Storyline 

Despite aging and a decrease in powers, remaining X-Men continue to be hunted and must find ways to fight.

Yes. WOW! Good concept and great to watch. This movie is not child friendly due to its exceptionally vicious violence.

THE WOLVERINE (Theatrical Release USA 2013)

The Wolverine—better than the first film, X-Men Origins: Wolverine—gets down to entertaining and begins a welcome shedding of its comic book ‘campiness’.  That comic book feel works in some films while in others it takes away from the quality of presentation. The Wolverine character is an example of that…he’s great as he plays it straight. This movie is a spin-off sequel to X-Men: The Last Stand. The movie earns its right to watch time and monetary investment. It’s an overall great watch.

Storyline 

During the war, Wolverine saves a Japanese military officer from an atomic bomb blast. When the officer becomes aged, he asks Wolverine to visit him so the officer can repay his debt.

Yes. The cinematography and presentation work at higher quality levels than the last movie. It’s a good watch.

FORD V FERRARI (Theatrical Release USA 2019)

Ford v Ferrari earns its place on Ben Meyers Movie Critics’ Best Films list. It deserves its WOW! and BRAVO! and could easily be watched more than once. Great acting by Matt Damon and Christian Bale who team beautifully in this film.

The story of competition between automakers as well as a good look at the development of the Ford GT40.

Knight and Day puts its action on the road very early on with Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz. The movie works for its money and delivers a thrilling and exciting watch.
