Ed—short film with a good concept—rains gloom and dark despair on the screen from its opening scene to its closing scene. The film is incomprehensible from its beginning to its closing scenes where one finally begins to guess at the reality/non-reality of its storyline. There is too much left unsaid and too many interpretations that can be made for this short to really work well. The animation is great and captures the movement of this life well.

Maybe. Exceptionally depressing and dark. If the audience is in a mood to evoke that emotion, this short film does that effortlessly.
