21 (Theatrical Release USA 2008)

Ben Meyers’ rating: 4.6|5.0 Starsìììì

21—how to beat the casinos—turns into an exciting movement in strategy. It’s an above par, quick thinking, and intellectually strategic-driven film. Kevin Spacey and Jim Sturgess play off each other well. Good adult pick.

Storyline

Ben Campbell (Jim Sturgess) needs serious funding to pay for medical school. He is invited, due to his mathematical abilities, to play Las Vegas blackjack with a team of college students who have learned to play by a method called ‘counting’ that favors the player rather than the house.
