A CINDERELLA STORY (Theatrical Release USA 2004)

A Cinderella Story
turns itself into a respectable teen girly flick that resources the talents of Hilary Duff. Hilary Duff definitely needs improvement in her acting style in order to extend her career beyond this level of entertainment, but at some level her approach to interpreting this script works. This film appeals specifically to the young pre-adult audience.

Cinderella is re-born into a modern setting when Samantha Montgomery’s (Hilary Duff) father dies and leaves her under the care of step-mother, Fiona (Jennifer Coolidge), who favors her own children over Samantha.
