POCAHONTAS (Theater Release USA 1995)

Ben Meyers’ rating: 4.0|5.0 Starsìììì

Pocahontas definitely stamps itself with the Disney brand’s standard fare of outstanding animation, terrific original musical scores, and well-timed scenes that pull at the heart for emotional involvement. This film is a good introduction to a small piece of early American history without the pain of the usual history lesson. It’s a very good adult/child share film.

Storyline

Captain John Smith (voice of Mel Gibson) meets Pocahontas (voice of Irene Bedard) in the New World and they quickly form a friendship.
