UNCLE NINO (Theatrical Release USA 2005)

Ben Meyers’ rating: 4.1|5.0 Starsìììì

Uncle Nino
presents a small, but thoughtful story with a decidedly European flavor that heals as well as entertains. The acting ranges from average to good but seems, due to the combined presence of Pierrino Mascarino and Joe Mantegna, quite satisfying. The movie works at a slower continental pace while examining two cultures far removed from each other.

Buy a ticket? Yes? No? Maybe?

Yes. It’s worth at least one viewing for its kind reminder of best ways to establish life value, where that value rests, responsibility to family, how far that extends, where love lives and how to stay within love’s embrace.
