PLANET OF THE APES (Theatrical Release USA 2001)

 Ben Meyers’ rating: 3.7|5.0 Starsììì

Planet of the Apes—different format from the 1968 movie—does not have the impact of the 1968 film. Some actors over-dramatize their characters to the point of comedy while others do not come across with the needed strength for their scenes. The movie seems an odd fit for Director Tim Burton. Watch for Charlton Heston cast as one of the apes.

Maybe. This remake falls short of the original The Planet of the Apes (1968) movie. The reboot to this movie is Rise of the Planet of the Apes.
