OPEN SEASON (Theatrical Release USA 2006)

Ben Meyers’ rating: 3.8|5.0 Stars ììì

Open Season,
not original and not great, has its comedic elements based in the interaction between a domesticated bear named Boog (voice of Martin Lawrence) and a woodland deer named Elliot (voice of Ashton Kutcher).  This movie is a Sony Pictures and Columbia Pictures computer animated production that performs worldwide on an average box office intake. Its lack of an outstanding script and animation leads to a trite and uninspired conclusion when Boog finally decides where his true home lies. This average film works as a light afternoon watch for the teen/adult.
