NAVY SEALS (Theatrical Release USA 1990)

Ben Meyers’ rating: 3.7|5.0 Starsììì

Navy Seals
has a cast that seems to be having more fun on set than getting down to the nitty gritty of making a good film. This results in weak acting and poor portrayal of the value of United States Navy SEALS.

Additional characters/cast include: Lieutenant Dale Hawkins (Charlie Sheen), Lieutenant James Curran (Michael Biehn), Claire Varrens (Joanne Whalley), Leary (Rick Rossovich), Rexer (Cyril O’Reilly), Dane (Bill Paxton), Graham (Dennis Haysbert), Ramos (Paul Sanchez), Benn Shaheed (Nicholas Kadi), Captain Dunne (Ronald G. Joseph), Jolena (S. Epatha Merkerson), U.S. Helicopter Pilot (Gregory McKinney), U.S. Helicopter Co-Pilot (Rob Moran), Admiral Colker (Richard Venture), and Jim Elmore (Mark Carlton).

Buy a ticket? Yes? No? Maybe?

Maybe. The movie does manage to generate interest in military rescue operation procedures, but the film fails at the actor level and does not provide top level entertainment value.
